However if you continue to eat unhealthy all of your treadmill running will be for nothing. Our diet is one of the determining factors in our body makeup. If we fuel our bodies with junk we will become junk. This is why we must eat healthy or at least healthier than we have before. One of the best ways to start eating healthier is to eat a well-balanced breakfast. People that skip breakfast completely are 81 % more likely to become over weight according to a recent study done by the department of health services. Try out some of these foods for a healthier breakfast and watch the pounds drip away.

Nonfat Greek Yogurt
Why non-fat Greek Yogurt you ask? Non-fat Greek Yogurt is loaded with more hunger-fighting protein, than your traditional yogurts. Eating this in the morning will keep you full until lunch and is a great source of vitamins that will help you start your day off right.

Oatmeal
While oatmeal seems like just another breakfast food it’s far from your bowl of cereal. Start your day off right with a warm bowl of oatmeal. Instead of putting sugar in your oatmeal try some fresh fruits, honey or brown sugar. Getting a good start to your day will make it easier for you to workout later. Giving you a reason to run is why oatmeal is a must in the morning.

All kinds of fresh Berries
Putting blueberries, strawberries or any other kind of berry in a bowl of cereal, yogurt, oatmeal and any other breakfast food for that matter is a great way to get extra vitamins in the morning without taking pills or adding a lot of unneeded calories. Berries are also high in an anti-inflammatory compounds called anthocyanin’s, which may help reduce heart disease and diabetes, and improve eyesight and short-term memory.

Peanut Butter
Don’t have a lot of time in the morning. Make a peanut butter shake or even a peanut butter sucker by taking a just a spoon full of peanut butter and eating it. Remember one thing; not all peanut butter is good for you. Use natural peanut butter to ensure you don’t get those unwanted fats and sugars.

Eggs any style
Eggs are a great source of vitamin A & D and protein to just name a few. Eggs are great for your skin and you can usally whip one up pretty fast. This is why eating a few eggs in the morning can really make a huge difference in your diet.

Whole-Grain Cereal
While a bowl of Fruit Loops make taste good in the morning it’s packed with sugars that will just let you down a few hours before lunch. Avoid the crash of those sugary cereals and enjoy a bowl or whole-grain cereal with some skim milk.
