Why I Don’t Usually Exercise

I feel like lately I haven’t got in the exercise that I have been wanting to get.  Over the summer I used to run at least a couple miles everyday.  It was a great way to start the day off, but when wintertime rolled around, I just didn’t feel like I had enough time anymore and aside from that, it was freezing outside in the morning.

However, I have come to realize that those are really poor excuses for not exercising.  Everybody is busy, and everyone thinks it’s is cold outside during the winter.  What it really comes down to is desire and priorities.  Desire dictates priorities.  I guess I just didn’t have enough desire to go out and exercise.

However, as I have mentioned, I have since changed and made steps towards making time to exercise.  That is important, “making time to exercise” as opposed to “finding time to exercise.”  They both reflect different philosophies of life.  “Finding time” is essentially waiting for the perfect time, which actually never comes, while “making time” is the proactive approach to life.

Anyways, that is just an observation I had made about why I usually don’t exercise.  It’s time to stop letting my situation define me.
