Starting the Day Off Right

So one of things that I have learned in the many years that I have been alive is that there are good ways to start the day off and there are bad ways to start the day off.


Granted, not everyday is going to go exactly as planned and you are going to have deal with some of the many problems that seem to befall us on a day to day basis, but there are definitely some ways, that if you have the choice, are better ways to start the day off.


First of all, let me be the first to admit, I am a huge advocate for getting early in the morning.  I really feel, at least for myself, there is no better time of the day for reflection and for simply making sure life is going according to plan than those wee hours in the morning.  I’ll also be the first to admit that I am not always able to wake up at the time that I want to, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.


I also believe that taking a short one or two mile jog in the morning is also a great way to get the blood flowing for the day.  I know, some people’s schedules are super busy, but I believe that if there is time to do that, then that time should be taken advantage of.


Another important factor for starting the day off right is getting a good breakfast.  It’s not called the most important meal of the day just because some guy thought it would be a catchy slogan, it really does make a world of difference if you start the day off right with a good breakfast.  And that doesn’t mean pop tarts or sugar cereal, it means fruit, dairy products, breads, anything that is “healthy.”


I really love having a strong start to the day.  It just makes life so much more enjoyable, not only for myself, but for others.
